Very interesting take. Clearly differ from standard usage of miso (heck you
can call it breaking the rule in fact) and the dish do look nice. I gotta
try this sometime soon. Kinda look like appetizer-ized salmon miso soup.

Miso is a fermented paste, when you boil it you loose mostly all flavor and
vitamins you dumb fuck

Hey Gordon, you’re not actually supposed to boil miso, it kills all the
good fermentation bacteria.

Salmon is my favorite fish, but being pregnant I stay away from it, but
once I can eat fish again im going to make this. But most of you are right,
you never boil Miso

You’re not meant to ‘cook’ miso, just dissolve it in at the end after it’s
taken off the heat. It ruins the flavour and destroys the nutrients.

I reckon leave the mushrooms and broccoli out. Give it more distinct
flavour cause those 2 veggies are kinda have a strong aftertaste

I’m a Ramsay fan but I’m not so sure about this dish. I think he got caught
up between Thai (kaffir lime leave and chilli) and Japanese (miso, ginger,
sesame oil) soup. Maybe because he wants to adjust the dish to fit in more
eith European taste.

good video but he made one big mistrake :

every japanese person should know, Never ever bring the miso “soup” to a
boil when you mixed it with the water.
it makes the miso taste bitter and salty…
